Palestinians betrayed once more

Prominent analyst Robert Fisk says Palestinians have been betrayed once more after the US President Barack Obama turned his back to the trend of "peace" between Palestinians and Israel.

The analyst wrote in an Independent article that Obama actually took side with Israel by condemning the Palestinian Authority for its efforts to form a unity government with Hamas.

The analyst said the Israeli call for recognition of Israel as Jewish state mounts to ignorance of the rights of tens of thousand of Palestinians residing in the occupied territories of 1948.

Fisk also noted a double talk on the part of Israel.

He said Israel had for years said there is no party for Palestinian talks as the PA head Mahmoud Abbas does not represent Palestinians living in Gaza but now as the PA seeks to get united with Gaza, Israel says 'peace' is something other than the two-state solution.
