Imam's doctrine was to support Palestinians

A senior Iranian lawmaker says the Islamic Revolutionary doctrine led by the late Imam Khomeini features support for the Palestinian issue and combat against Zionists.

Naser Sudani was speaking to Qudsna reporter on the 25th demise anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic.

He said Imam Khomeini was mostly credited with defending the oppressed and struggling against the US-led world arrogance.

The lawmaker said the cause has made Iran popular among the world oppressed and underprivileged.

The lawmaker said Imam Khomeini considered the Palestinians as truly oppressed as they were forced from their land by the occupying Zionist regime.

The parliamentarian said the Islamic Republic will never come to a compromise with Israel.
