Supporting Palestine, a religious must

An Iranian deputy of parliament says the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini considered it a religious must to support the Palestinian nation.

Laleh Eftekhari was speaking to Qudsna reporter on the 25th demise anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic.

The parliamentarian noted that the Islamic Republic's constitution too has enshrined provisions for supporting the world oppressed, especially the Palestinian people.

She added that under the same doctrine, Iran has formed its foreign policy in Syria. "Syria has long stood alongside the Palestinian resistance. Anyone who supports Palestine and the world oppressed will enjoy our support," she said.
