No peace in ME as long as Israel goes violent
The third meeting of the World Peace Council has been held in Beijing, capital of China with a focus on international and regional peace and security.
The two-day meeting was attended by authorities and dignitaries from 20 countries. Head of Iran's Foreign Affairs Strategic Council, Kamal Kharrazi, represented the Islamic Republic in the assembly.
In the meantime, the Iranian authority made Iran's case on peace and security in the Middle East as well as the Palestinian issue.
The senior diplomat said the Two-State Initiative was not the solution for the Palestinian issue.
He also said that the sole way to resolve the problem was to ask the original Palestinian population, including Muslims, Christians and Jews to decide on the fate of the historical Palestine.
The former foreign minister said as long as the Zionist regime of Israel held a grip on Palestine, the prospect of peace and security in the Middle East would be dim.
