Takfiri groups, an Israeli security project

An Iranian analyst says the Takfiri current is the sole potential way for the Western force to counter the resistance forces in the Middle East and to remove Shia and the Lebanese Hezbollah.

Hassan Hanizadeh told Qudsna that following the Israeli defeat in the 33-day Lebanese war against Hezbollah in 2006, the Zionists found that the state of affairs in the region may no longer secure them as they could not stand guerrilla warfare.

The analyst said Israel after consulting with Saudi Arabia helped simulate the Hezbollah and other resistance forces to form a similar, pro-western force as a counter-act against the regional resistance. "Takfiri groups were thus formed," Hanizadeh said.

The analyst cited reports that the mastermind of the Takfiri groups in Iraq, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had received training on intelligence warfare and urban battle in Israel between 2009 and 2011.

The analyst said the terror group may be considered as part of an Israeli security doctrine, adding that the Iraqi Takfiri groups seek to return the situation to that of 2003 and earlier.

"Arab states seek to bring to power a military ruler in Iraq by simulating the Egyptian situation," he said.

The expert added however that a growing voluntary move from within the Iraqi public for fighting against the Takfiri groups will push the project to failure.
