Countdown begins to new war on Gaza

An Israeli military expert says the countdown has begun to a new Israeli war on Gaza.

Alex Fishman wrote in Yediot Aharonoth however that the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu must not rush to a war on Gaza and instead he must first assess the Israeli military and also let the US and the EU to know about the situation.

Fishman warned about a hasty war that bears no favorable results for Israel and rather leads to a rise in Hamas power as well as more international support for the group.

The military commentator added however that the preparations for a war on Gaza were well made before the bodies of the three settlers were found.

He quoted heads of Israeli settlements bordering Gaza as appealing for the Israeli military to launch a new war on the besieged enclave.
