War on Gaza would bring new defeat

Palestinian experts maintain that an Israeli incursion into Gaza was unlikely as it would trigger retaliatory rocket firing on the part of the Palestinian resistance and also distract the regime's forces from their persistent operations in the West Bank.
Akram Ata-Allah says the Zionist regime has currently focused on the West Bank and seeks to use an opportunity provided by the suspicious killings of three settlers to press with its operations in the occupied area.
The analyst said despite all its threats of war on Gaza, the Zionist regime only seeks to stop the trend of rocket firing from the besieged enclave, according to Paltoday website.
Echoing the same idea, Tallal Owkal said a ground incursion into Gaza was very unlikely as it may trigger another defeat in the Israeli military record. The analyst said this time the resistance groups would respond to the occupying forces by targeting Tel Aviv as the range of the rockets have improved in the past months.
The analyst said however that Israel may have on its agenda to assassinate a number of senior Palestinian activists as it did in the case of Ahmad al-Ja'bari in 2013.
