New Intifada in sight

A Palestinian Fatah member says the current conditions in Palestine heralds the formation of a new Intifada (uprising) against Israel.

Also head of the Institute of Palestinian Captives, Qadoura Fares was speaking to Qudsna.

He said persistent Israeli atrocities against the Palestinians as well as the harsh economic conditions across the Palestinian lands would lead to another Intifada in Palestine.

The Palestinian personality said fruitless negotiations with Israel were another motivation for a new Intifada, adding that the Palestinian nation would not lift a white flag in the face of Israel in any new conflict.

Asked about this year's International Day of Quds that falls on the last Friday of the Holy month of Ramadan, the Palestinian personality said the event was effectively the best ceremony to support the Palestinian nation.

The senior activist urged Muslims to stage million-strong rallies on the day in support of the occupied al-Quds city.

"The rallies would shake the Israeli body," Fares said, adding that the ralies convey the message that the world of Islam would never allow the Judazation of Quds.
