Zionists engaged in blind offensive

An Iranian expert in Middle East affairs says the Zionist regime has failed for a third time to achieve its goal of putting an end to the Palestinian resistance's weaponry power.

Saadolah Zarei pointed to the deep reach of the Palestinian rockets hitting Israel and said the Zionist regime has apparently engaged in a blind offensive that will only leave more human fatalities and destruction in Gaza.

"Basically, even an equipped army may not overcome a people-based resistance force," the expert told Qudsna, adding that the Zionist army has launched the current assault either based on miscalculation or due to inevitable conditions.

The expert expressed hope that the timing of the bloodshed in Gaza with the holy month of Ramadan would help pull together the currently dispersed Muslim community around the axis of the Palestinian issue.
