An armed West Bank, a turning point

An Iranian expert believes that if the Palestinian population in the West Bank is armed, the Israeli military power would be weakened as it would have to focus on two separate center of military uprising.

Head of the Strategic Studies and International Relations Center, Amir Mousavi was speaking to Qudsna, asked about a landmark proposal by the Islamic Revolution Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei that the West Bank would rather take up arms against the Zionist regime of Israel.

Speaking to a large group of Iranian students on Thursday, the Islamic Revolution Leader has reaffirmed that the sole way to stop the unperceivable Israeli crimes in the Palestinian territories was to remove the entity through a democratic procedure.

Ayatollah Khamenei also rejected the idea that 'if rockets were not fired from Gaza, the Zionist regime would have treat Palestinians better,' noting that the regime has already adopted a similar humiliating and murderous policy in the West Bank where the only weapons of people is to throw rocks.

The expert said if the West Bank is armed, the Zionist regime would find itself fighting in three fronts: Hezbollah in Lebanon, Palestinians in Gaza and Palestinians in the West Bank.

The expert also noted that the strategic position of the West Bank would be a turning point for the Palestinian resistance as it is a few kilometers from the critical centers of the Zionist governments.
