Israel eyes truce as refreshing chance

A member of the Iranian parliamentary commission in foreign policy says Israel always seeks to use any truce as an opportunity for refreshing its military morale rather than a chance for talks.

Sayyed Hossein Naqavi was speaking to the parliamentary information department hours after Israel broke an agreed 72-hour truce in its war against Gaza.

"Negotiation has no place in the policy of the regime since its formation," he said.

The lawmaker added however that at the moment Muslims states must support the Gaza Muslims.

The lawmaker also urged the independent and free thinking states in the world to meet their humanitarian responsibility concerning the tragedies in Gaza.

The parliamentarian slammed the UN for showing a weak position towards the Gaza developments. "The UN reacts to issues of lesser importance than the Gaza catastrophe. It is expected to deal with the issue more seriously," he said.
