Egyptian diplomat urges mechanism for sending aid to Gaza

Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister, Mohammad Badr al-Din says his country welcomes a mechanism by the Non-aligned Movement for sending humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The senior diplomat was speaking in a meeting of the Non-aligned Movement’s committee on Palestine in Tehran on Monday.

The senior Egyptian diplomat denounced the Israeli atrocities against Gaza as a crime against humanity and said Egypt considers it a national and regional duty to take steps against the assaults.

The senior diplomat also called for the trial of those behind the crimes in Gaza.

The deputy minister urged the NAM members to draw up a mechanism in Tehran meeting so that all interested countries could send their aid to Gaza.
