Iran waiting for Egyptian permission

Head of the healthcare commission in the Iranian parliament says the Islamic Republic is ready to send aid to Gaza, however the conditions on the ground have yet to allow the country to do its humanitarian mission.

Hosseinali Shahriyari told Qudsna that the Iranian Red Crescent Society has complied necessary medicine and medical gears direly needed by the wounded in Gaza

The lawmaker also said the Iranian hospitals are ready to admit the wounded.

“A large number of Iranian physicians have declared their readiness to go to Gaza, however all these potential aid would not reach the needed as long as the Rafah crossing is closed,” he said.

The lawmaker said the Islamic Republic expects the Egyptian government to provide the necessary ground for other nations to cater to provide their humanitarian aid to Gaza.
