Netanyahu rejects rejects Egyptian ceasefire bid
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has his rejected the Egyptian ceasefire bid.
Israeli newspaper Maariv reported the news and said: “This decision was taken after a meeting between Netanyahu and his 'Defence' Minister Moshe Ya’alon.”
After the announcement of this news, it became clear why Israeli media has reported several times today that the Palestinian rejected the bid. It is to blame the Palestinians for a resumption of conflict.
Palestinian and Israeli delegations are expected to arrive in Cairo tonight or tomorrow morning to resume indirect talks aiming to reach a ceasefire deal.
Both sides accepted on Wednesday at night a five-day expansion for a previous 72-hour truce. The five-day truce ends on Monday midnight.
