Option of resistance was upheld again

An Iranian lawmaker says the smallest Palestinian gain in the recent war on Gaza was to prove once more that the option of resistance was the sole way to counter Israel.

Mehdi Kouchakzadeh told Qudsna that the world media have already acknowledged that the Palestinian resistance came out as the winner of the war.

The lawmaker said another gain of the war for the Palestinians was to let the world nations to know that the brutal Israeli regime only understands the language of force.

“It was also proved that the international bodies only support the illegitimate entity. Palestinians learnt that it was shear lack of sense to rely on the international bodies and to pin hope in Israel and its allies, especially the US,” the lawmaker said.

Turning to the argument of victory of the Palestinian resistance, the lawmaker said one must consider what goals Israel sought in Gaza and which of those goals were met. “They sought to contain the weapon of resistance however the rocket firing campaign continued until the day before the truce. They failed to meet the goals,” he added.

“Zionists lost their face among the nations to the extent that even their backers were prompted to condemn the Israeli crimes,” the parliamentarian said.
