Islamic Jihad talks of imminent truce
Palestinian factions have reportedly agreed to the Egyptian initiative of an unlimited time ceasefire and they are now waiting for an answer from the Israeli side, PNN reported Monday.
Islamic Jihad second-in-command Ziad Nahala and senior member Khaled al-Batch said the coming hours will determine whether a ceasefire agreement has been achieved.
They added that they did not leave Cairo and are in contact with all parties in order to reach a satisfactory outcome and stop the aggression on the people of Gaza.
At the same time, Hamas senior official Izzat al-Rishq said "there is nothing new regarding a ceasefire. We will report on any new developments".
