Israel to reject S300 missiles in Sinai
Israel Defense journal says any access of Egypt to the Russian made S300 missile defense system would develop a major threat for Israel as the Israeli air force has no ability to track the system's radars.
The journal also said the Israeli government would oppose any installation of the system in the Sinai desert in the vicinity of Israel.
The journal said Russia has decided to sell to Egypt the SBM air defense system that it previously built for Syria, accepting an offer from the Egyptian army.
The air defense system may intercept any target within a range of 30 kilometers and hit it within a radius of 150 kilometers.
Israel Defense wrote in case the system is installed in the Sinai desert, half of Israel would be within its range and if installed in the Port Saeed city, the entire Israel would be accessible.
