Israel equals terrorism

US journalist Caleb Maupin says Israel has a long record in supporting terrorism.

The journalist was speaking to Qudsna on the sidelines of an international conference in Tehran on the role of the global Zionism in expanding terrorism worldwide.

"Israel equals terrorism," he added.

The journalist said the US government supports Zionist bodies, including the far-right Jewish Defense League that has been designated as a terror group even by the FBI and Mossad.

The journalist said the Jewish group was committing acts of terror against opponents of Israel, adding that the US government still tolerates the group for its Zionist roots.

Asked about the Zionist lobby's influence in the world movie industry, Maupin said Hollywood has always reflected the US government's views.

"Hollywood is under the control of Israel. Israel uses the movie industry for attacking the Middle East populations and stirring tension in the region," the journalist added.

In another regard, the US journalist lauded the Palestinian people for keeping to resist against Israel while the entire western governments have sided with the latter.

Maupin said millions of people have taken inspiration from the Palestinian nation's perseverance.

The conference started work in Tehran in the presence of a group of independent film makers and intellectuals from across the world to review the role of the world Zionism in the Middle East crises.

Called 'Ofogh No' (new horizon), the conference will broach such topics as the similarities between Zionism and Nazism, the US and Zionist criminal records in the world, Hollywood and Israel lobby in the US, the role of Zionism in dividing Muslims and the emergence of the ISIL terror group.

The conference that lasts until Wednesday will also review the ongoing Islamic Awakening movement in the region, the case of Islamophobia and Iranophobia, the status of freedom seeking movements in the world, including the US 99% movement.

Renowned international personalities are set to deliver lectures in the conference, namely Stephen Sizer, Mateus Piskorski, Manuel Ochsenreiter, Claudio Moffa, Maria Poumier, Manuel Galiana-Ros, Eric Walberg, Kevin Barrett, Anthony Hall, Pepe Escobar, Leonid Savin, Ahmed Rami, and Isabelle Praile.
