On Israeli motives in Gaza war
Israeli military experts had apparently decided that a new war on Gaza would undermine the regional anti-Israeli resistance. Gaza in their eyes had turned into a major hub of resistance and for the same reason they sought to disarm the area as a primary agenda.
In a first step to disarm the Gaza resistance however the Zionist regime had apparently sought to undermine the popular support for the Palestinian nation by inflicting a large human loss on the besieged enclave.
In the meantime, the regime also sought to destroy the underground tunnels and cause the Gaza resistances to exhaust its rocket reserves. The regime apparently thought the Gaza resistance would cave in to disarmament calls amid a large massacre and head for a political dialogue in the best conditions.
The Zionist regime also sought to keep the Palestinian Authority that was going to make a unity deal with the resistance groups in Gaza. The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu even made a clear call on the PA head Mahmoud Abbas to avoid any such deal, adding the prospective deal may destroy the Israeli-PA negotiations. The regime was well aware a unity government in the West Bank and Gaza would further empower the Palestinian nation both in the face of the Zionist regime and in the international stage.
By launching the genocidal war, the Zionist regime also sought to press the Arab states to bow to the trend of Arab-Israeli compromise and recognize the regime as a 'Jewish State'.
Zionist regime had the thought that eight years of full siege on Gaza has undermined the popular support for the Gaza resistance so that the resistance groups may not endure a large war. The perception however was wrong.
