Awake minds stand by Gaza

A renowned Iranian cinema director says awake consciences will never remain silent or idly-by towards the grievances of the Gaza people, especially their innocent children.

Narges Abiyar was speaking to Qudsna in Tehran on the sidelines of a short film festival.

She has made the favorite movie, Shiyar 143 that chronicles the life of a woman whose son is one of the missing in the Iranian Sacred Defense against the western backed invading forces of Saddam in 1980s.

The director underlined the significance of making works of art on the innocence of the Gaza people as well as the criminal nature of the Zionist regime of Israel.

The director also urged Iranian artists to speak out in favor of any oppressed people the world over.

The director urged the Palestinian nation to keep up its resistance, adding good tidings were on sight according to Divine promises.

Shiyar 143 was chosen as best movie by the audience in the 33rd International Fajr Film Festival in Tehran.
