WB on brink of general uprising

Iranian political expert, Hassan Hanizadeh says the West Bank's protests in the recent weeks show the Palestinian residents of the area have welcomed a call by the Islamic Revolution Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei on them to take up arms against the Zionist regime.

Hanizadeh told Qudsna that the recent clashes in Ramallah and the East al-Quds prove that the residents are ready to counter the Zionist regime alongside their Palestinian compatriots in Gaza.

Asked about the leader's proposal for arming the West Bank, the expert said it was a rational strategy to arm the area as part of efforts to counter the Zionist regime.

The expert said the West Bank was on the brink of a general uprising that would lead to another fateful intifada.

The expert said if a third intifada breaks out in the West Bank, the Zionist regime could not contain it conveniently.
