Palestinian students stage protests in Israeli universities
Massive protests have been held in Palestinian communities in northern ‘Israel’ Sunday with protesters burning tires, and throwing stones and petrol bombs at Israeli forces stationed in the towns of Turan, Shfaram and Fordis.
Earlier in the day, Palestinian university students launched protests against the killing of Kheir Hamdan and called for a Third Intifada.
Dozens of students rallied in front of Tel Aviv University against the Israeli desecration of the holy sites.
Protesters held aloft Palestinian flags, and signs reading “Israel, state of terror,” and “Shahid, rest in peace” — using the Arabic word for “martyr” for the martyr Hamdan who is the latest Palestinian protester to be murdered by the Zionist forces.
Over at Haifa University, some 120 demonstrators held a similar protest, during which they called for a Third Intifada. There was a demonstration, too, by students at Ben-Gurion University in Beersheba.
