WB arming would unfold crisis for Israel

An Iranian university professor says the West Bank has emerged from a politically motionless era after a long time by rising up against Israel.

Mohammad Sadeq Koushki made the remarks in an interview with Qudsna when visiting the news agency's pavilion in Iran's 20th Press Show in Tehran.

Koushki said Israel thought the West Bank has eventually turned into a neutral zone however they were wrong.

"Israelis are now concerned about the possible turning of the West Bank into another Gaza," he said.

The professor touched on an offer by the Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei for arming the West Bank. "If the West Bank is armed, a deep crisis would unfold for the Zionists," Koushki said, adding that in order to counter the threat, the Zionists seek to turn the area into a frozen zone once more.
