Israel, ISIL co-intensify regional terrorism

Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahiyan says the Zionist regime of Israel is one of the key sources of terrorism in the region.

The senior diplomat was speaking to Qudsna on the sidelines of an international meeting on the combat against terrorism and extremism in Tehran.

The deputy foreign minister said the Israeli criminal acts including its jewification policies against the occupied al-Quds and its settlement expansion have intensified terrorism and extremism in the region.

The senior diplomat then touched on the emergence of the ISIL terror group in the region and said the terror group has targeted Muslims, Christians and other innocent people instead of the Zionist regime, showing how it works together with the regime in inciting terrorism across the Muslim community.

Amir Abollahiyan denounced the stance of world bodies towards the regime as weak, adding the Amnesty International has adopted a belated stance by condemning the regime's conduct against the Palestinians.

The condemnation was "the least possible move supposed from the body," the deputy foreign minister said.
