West has double standard over Palestine

A French professor in politics says Muslims have become the key victims of violence nowadays, adding that the violence must be countered and contained.

Paris university professor, Pierre Konsa was speaking to Qudsna on the sidelines of an international conference in Tehran on how to counter terrorism and extremism.

The professor in politics cited the figures published by the US Maryland University that the ratio of terrorism victims in the world is 10 Muslims to one non-Muslim a day.

The French figure then touched on the regional terrorism in the Middle East and said the Zionist regime is promoting state terrorism.

"Today, most countries are changing their views of and stance towards Israel especially after the Israeli recent war on Gaza," the professor said.

The French figure said Israel suffers double talk by killing over 2000 Palestinians in Gaza while claiming it only defends itself.

Pierre Konsa added that the Western governments too have adopted double policy over Israel as they never adopted a deserved position towards the Israeli massacre in Gaza while they push for a coalition against terror groups.

"Even by the collation, they seek to intervene in other countries' affairs" rather than countering terrorism, he added.

The French university professor maintained that the Palestinian problem could only be resolved through political means, adding that terrorism would only be uprooted through the foundation of an independent Palestinian state.
