Gains of Palestinian resistance in 2014

An Iranian researcher in political affairs says the Palestinian resistance has set a record gain in 2014 in its combat against the Zionist regime.

Mohammad Sadeq Koushki also told Qudsna that the Palestinian resistance has already cemented its position as a capable military power and a determining factor in the face of the Zionist regime.

The political expert said the Palestinian nation's current military status is unprecedented in the course of the nation's history.

The university professor added that the year 2014 also saw an improvement in the ranks of resistance as doubtful elements were sidelined amid critical situations.

"The Palestinian resistance identified its real allies," the expert said, adding that the resistance groups realized they could not rely on such countries as Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia in tough times.

Asked about the UNSC rejection of a PA statehood bid, the expert said the bid was never a new one as it sought a Palestine confined to the 1967 borders however the Zionist regime and its western allies even inflated the watered-down bid so that they could reject it.

"Such bids may not resolve the Palestinian problems in the face of the child-killer Zionist regime," Koushki said.
