Palestine, topmost issue of Muslim community

Former Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, Qazanfar Roknabadi says the Palestinian issue would remain as the topmost issue of the Muslim community.

Roknabadi was speaking to Qods News Agency on the sidelines of an international conference in Tehran on Muslim unity.

The senior diplomat also described the ISIL terror group’s emergence as a conspiracy to divert the Muslim attention from the Palestinian issue, adding that a clear coordination between the Zionist regime and terror group would further substantiate the argument.

The former ambassador said the speeches made in the conference generally left the impression that the Muslim community has realized that it must focus on the Palestinian issue and to counter the terror groups.

The Muslim scholars and activists who have joined the conference focused on the Palestinian issue in the second day of the event.

The conference that is the 28th edition of the unity conference started in Tehran on Wednesday under the banner of ‘single Muslim community, challenges and solutions.’

The participant approved the idea that the Palestinian issue and the struggle against the Zionist regime was a key foreign policy for the Muslim community.

The scholars also underlined the role of hostile states in the emergence of the ISIL terror group and its negative effect on the Palestinian issue.
