Palestinian issue would not be resolved through relying on UN, US

Head of the London-based Islamic human rights association, Masoud Shajara says the Muslim community has failed to do much in favor of the Palestinian nation partly due to its lack of unity and unanimity.

The British activist was speaking to Qods News Agency on the sidelines of an international conference in Tehran on Muslim unity.

“There is a direct relationship between Muslim unity and Palestinian crisis,” the activist said, adding that the more Muslims draw wider from one another, the more the Palestinian nation would be exposed to oppression and tyranny.

Shajara believed that the ISIL terror group would have not emerged if Muslims were united, adding that the way to escape the enemy conspiracy is to get united.

The British activist added that the Palestinian issue tops any Muslim political agenda, adding that the issue would never be resolved through the United Nations or the US government.

“If they (UN, US) were willing to do anything in favor, the Palestinian issue would have already been resolved,” Shajara said.

The pro-Palestinian activist said the Palestinian issue had already turned into a human mission, adding that the free people of the world must join their hands to resolve the crisis.

The Muslim scholars and activists who have joined the conference focused on the Palestinian issue in the second day of the event on Thursday.

The conference that is the 28th edition of the unity conference started in Tehran on Wednesday under the banner of ‘single Muslim community, challenges and solutions.’

The participant approved the idea that the Palestinian issue and the struggle against the Zionist regime was a key foreign policy for the Muslim community.

The scholars also underlined the role of hostile states in the emergence of the ISIL terror group and its negative effect on the Palestinian issue.
