Palestine may be liberated through unity
Member of the Lebanese Amal party, Hashem Menqara says Muslims need the like of scholars and intellectuals who are willing to abandon inter-Muslim differences in favor of unity.
The Lebanese figure was speaking to Qods News Agency on the sidelines of an international conference in Tehran on Muslim unity.
Menqara said Palestine resides in the heart of the Muslim community and will be freed some day in God's favor and through Muslim unity.
Asked about the future of the Zionist regime, the scholar said the regime was doomed to perish albeit it expands its construction projects.
The 28th International Conference on Islamic Unity started in Tehran on Wednesday under the banner of ‘single Muslim community, challenges and solutions.’
The participant approved the idea that the Palestinian issue and the struggle against the Zionist regime was a key foreign policy for the Muslim community.
The scholars also underlined the idea that hostile states have played a key role in the emergence of the ISIL terror group and its negative effect on the Palestinian issue.
