Zionist lobby controls US policies
A London-based Muslim journalist says the failure of the PA statehood bid in the UNSC was positive as it led the PA Head Mahmoud Abbas to file for membership in the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Al-Rai al-Youm daily journalist, Ali Halil Mahmoud was speaking to Qods News Agency on the sidelines of an international conference in Tehran on Muslim unity.
The journalist described the ICC bid as positive unlike the existing differences on how to approach and resolve the Palestinian problems.
The journalist also appreciated Iran's role in supporting the Palestinian issue, saying it was crystal clear that the Islamic Republic has always supported the Palestinian nation.
In another regard, the London-based journalist said the international Zionism was controlling the US policies through its AIPAC branch. "AIPAC tries to make the Arab states to no more see Israel as their enemy," the journalist said, adding that Shia and Sunni populations must counter the attitude in unison.
"Indeed there are differences however we are members of a single family and we must determine the solutions," the journalist said, alluding to the Shia-Sunni differences.
Asked about the future of Israel, Mahmoud said Israel has become ever more isolated following its recent wars so that the world states are treating it with more caution than past.
28th International Conference on Islamic Unity started in Tehran on Wednesday under the banner of ‘single Muslim community, challenges and solutions.’
The participant approved the idea that the Palestinian issue and the struggle against the Zionist regime was a key foreign policy for the Muslim community.
The scholars also underlined the idea that hostile states have played a key role in the emergence of the ISIL terror group and its negative effect on the Palestinian issue.
