Practical measures needed over Palestinian issue
Aide to the Iraqi parliament speaker, Shazi Monzar al-Abousi has urged all Muslim states to strive to restore the Palestinian rights.
Al-Abousi was speaking to Qods News Agency on the sidelines of an international conference in Tehran on Muslim unity.
The Iraqi official expressed hope the year 2015 would be the time the Palestinians would take back their full rights from the Zionist occupiers.
The Iraqi aide also called for practical steps in the Palestinian issue, adding the Muslims should not rely on the US government or the UN in resolving their issue.
Al-Abousi appreciated Iran's effective role in the Palestinian issue and urged other Muslim states to support the Iranian stance in support of the key issues of the Muslim world, including the Palestinian issue.
The 28th International Conference on Islamic Unity started in Tehran on Wednesday under the banner of ‘single Muslim community, challenges and solutions.’
The participant approved the idea that the Palestinian issue and the struggle against the Zionist regime was a key foreign policy for the Muslim community.
The scholars also underlined the idea that hostile states have played a key role in the emergence of the ISIL terror group and its negative effect on the Palestinian issue.
