Anti-Islamic behaviors stem from eschewed image of Islam

An Iranian lawmaker says the current anti-Islamic behaviors in the west are largely incited by a false image in the mind of the westerners concerning Islam which has been stimulated by certain western media.

Deputy of Majli, Masoud Pezeshkian also told the Qods News Agency that a landmark message by the Islamic Revolution Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to the western youths came in an initiative to counter the false image.

The parliament member expressed regret that certain political currents within the Muslim community were adopting an un-Islamic position under the veneer of Islam, adding that those western individuals who have failed to grab a true reading of Islam are naturally reacting to such an un-Islamic conduct.

The lawmaker said Ayatollah Khamenei’s message was especially important in that it counters the false image of Islam in the west that has triggered the otherwise unfair treatment of the Divine religion.

The Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a landmark message to the Western youth last week, urging the young westerners to acquire an unbiased, independent learning of Islam irrespective of the growing Islamophobic propaganda in their own countries.
