1979 revolution set new tone in Muslim community

An Arab analyst says the Islamic Revolution of Iran set a new tone in the world of Islam and granted a large momentum to Palestinian resistance.

Ali al-Hail al-Mahmoud was speaking to the Qods News Agency a few days ahead of the 36th anniversary of the landmark revolution that got triumph in 1979.

An analyst with the London-based Rai al-Youm daily, Mahmoud said the Islamic Republic that was founded by the late Imam Khomeini in 1979 helped the Palestinian resistance to make achievements in their fight against Israel.

The Qatari analyst believed that the Islamic Republic was deserved to be given the reins of the Muslim community.

“Israel by no means feels well that a powerful country, Iran backs the Palestinians, especially the Gaza resistance groups,” Mahmoud added.
