Expert: 1979 Islamic Revolution challenged int’l Zionism

An Iranian expert in regional affairs says anti-Israeli groups in the Middle East found the opportunity to take a concerted action thank to the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in 1979.

Ali Zare’ Fekri was speaking to the Qods News Agency in Tehran on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the landmark revolution that is set to be marked on February 11.

The political expert said prior to the revolution, the Zionist regime used to take the liberty of attacking the Palestinians every time and everywhere it wished however the Islamic Revolution reversed the trend and helped the Palestinians to defend themselves.

“The force of resistance has continually made headways in the past few decades,” following the 1979 revolution, the expert noted. The

expert believed that Israel must be considered as part of the international Zionism, adding that the Islamic Revolution helped push back the threat.
