Arabs should have come to Gaza help

Palestinian people interviewed by Qodsna in Gaza say the Muslim community must refocus its efforts on the mainstream struggle against the Zionist regime.

Yahya Khafaja, residing in Rafah told Qodsna reporter, Fatemeh Abd that the Saudi government has launched a real war against Yemen in order to secure its own interests rather than the interests of the Muslim community.

The Palestinian citizen was approved of the idea that the regional Arab governments which have joined the Saudi attack had already declined to support the Palestinian people during the 2014 summer war largely due to their strong security and diplomatic relations with the US.

The idea was reflected by Mohammad Abu Namous who said the regional Arab governments not only refused to back Gaza in the summer war, but also indirectly support the Israeli aerial attacks against the besieged enclave by selling oil to those governments which fueled Israeli planes.

Emad Abu Feras too condemned the Saudi actions as flagrant violation of the internal Yemeni affairs, adding that the Saudi Arabia could never go beyond what the US government has set down for its foreign policy and for the same reason, its steer clear of the Gaza bloodshed while it launches a similar one in Yemen.

Also, Ahmad Ismail residing in northern Gaza said Palestinian would never support any sectarian conflict, adding the Saudi government has treaded over any existing red lines in its war on Yemen, adding the criminal mindset that leads the attacks is similar with that of Israel.

Hosham Motir too warned about a new Nakba (occupation of Palestine) for the Muslim community due to the Saudi attacks, adding Saudi would rather opt for anything other than military attacks. Motir noted the tribal format of Yemen and said the Yemeni people are united in their push for national interests.

Qodsna reporter Fatemeh Abd also interviewed an elderly woman in Gaza who said Arabs left Gaza alone during the summer war however they are engaged every day in a Muslim country.

“One day in Syria, the other day in Yemen, next day in Egypt then on Libya. Why did not you form an Arab coalition in defense of Gaza?” the elderly asked.
