Imam Khomeini presented a modern democracy based on Koran

A Bangladeshi professor in Islamic studies says Imam Khomeini served as a spiritual leader for all Muslims in the world.

“Iran is an independent country and the sole state that follows Koran top on its national agenda,” the professor told the Qods News Agency (Qodsna).

The Bangladeshi figure said the late Imam presented a modern democracy based on the Koranic teachings.

He also denounced the creation of Israel as a western conspiracy for making the Middle East insecure.

“They sell arms to Israel and Saudi Arabia in order to foment the situation,” he said.
