Israel seeks to fend sources of insecurity from vicinity
Director of political and international studies at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Mostafa Zahrani says the Islamic Republic of Iran has an anti-violence and anti-extremism policy in the region and beyond.
The senior diplomat was speaking to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) in Tehran.
Zhrani said the Iranian foreign policy follows the Islamic call for peace and affection promoted by the Noblest Messenger of God, Hazrat Mohammad while the world powers follow their own interests based on colonial goals and strategies.
Touching on the role of the Zionist regime in expanding extremism and terrorism in the region, the expert in international affairs said the primary effort of the Zionist regime is to secure its survival.
“Israel would embark on any inhuman move in order to secure its survival,” he said, adding the Zionist regime seeks to create a margin of security around Israel by fending the sources of insecurity from vicinity and for the same reason it promotes terror groups in Iraq, Yemen and elsewhere.
Zarhani added that by the policy, Israel also seeks to divide Muslims, mar the face of Islam and divert the world public opinion from the Palestinian issue.
