Quds day designation, smart decision

A senior Iranian media man says the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini made a smart decision to designate the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as an international day for voicing solidarity with the wronged Palestinian nation.

CEO of Siasat Rooz daily, Mohammad Pir Ali was speaking to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) in Tehran.

The media personality said the designation has already found its way into every calendar in the Muslim community and turned into a global symbol of defending the oppressed.

Pir Ali urged for using the opportunity to pass the message of true Islam to the world.

The international Quds day would be marked on July 25 worldwide with human activists from every political or religious affiliations taking to streets for anti-Islamic marches.
