Day of Quds inspires world public opinion

A Yemeni journalist says the international day of Quds that was designated by the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini has been serving as an inspiration for the world public opinion to support Palestine.

Abdullah Sharafoddin was speaking to the Quds News Agency (Qudsna) weeks before the upcoming international occasion.

The journalist was approved of the idea that the Zionikst regime has grown as a cancerous tumor in the body of the Muslim community, aying as long as the tumor exists the community would not see any calm.

Asked about Islamic Republic’s role in supporting the Palestinian issue, the Yemeni journalist acknowledged that Iran has never abandoned the nation and would brave any foreign pressure in supporting the regional anti-Israeli resistance.

Pointing to Imam Khomeini’s role in supporting oppressed nations, Sharafoddin said Imam Khomeini was a pioneer of justice and faith, himself taking model from the uprising of the third Imam of Shia, Imam Hossein against the tyrants of his time.

“Imam Khomeini sought dignity and respect for Muslims and played a key role in establishing Islamic movements,” the journalist added.
The journalist noted that while the Islamic Republic has never acted based on sectarian feelings, certain regional countries including Saudi Arabia have even refused to stretch a hand of help to the Muslim people of Gaza when it was under Israeli attacks.

Touching on the so-called Saudi-led coalition’s strikes against Yemen, the journalist said Saudi Arabia, the US government and the Zionist regime have joined ranks in a single front against Muslims.

“The very coalition poses the real threat against Islamic and the Muslim community,” he said.
