Designation of Quds day, insightful move

Senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement says the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini made an insightful decision in designating the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the international day of Quds.

The Palestinian personality was speaking to the Quds News Agency (Qudsna) by phone.

Jaradat lauded Imam Khomeini for his anti-oppression stance, adding the late leader knew well the Zionist regime is to blame for every political problem in the region.

“Imam Khomeini was well aware of the western and Zionist conspiracies and sought to get the Muslim community united in a joint rank against its enemies,” he said.

The Palestinian personality urged Muslims to turn out in droves for the worldwide marches of the Quds day, adding by joining the rallies they would reaffirm their condemnation of the Zionist occupation.
