Quds day, day of oppressed against oppressors

Palestinian mayor of Beit Lahiya city in the besieged Gaza Strip says the late father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini was an exceptional personality in the struggle against the world arrogance and supporting the Palestinian nation.

Ezzodin Dahnoun was speaking with the Qods News Agency (Qudsna) by phone.

As for the late Imam's designation of the last Friday of holy month of Ramadan, the mayor termed the day a day for the oppressed nations against the oppressors.

"In the day, the oppressed find an opportunity to decide their own fate," the mayor said.

Dahnoun said the designation was an exceptional move that helped the Muslims to get united and choose the occupied al-Quds ('Jerusalem') as campus.

"Palestine without Quds is senseless," he said, adding the Quds day would help the world to beware against the threat of Zionism.
