Islamic Republic never forgets occupation of Palestine

An Iranian lawmaker says the Islamic Republic of Iran has never treated the Palestinian issue as a sideline issue, adding the Islamic Republic would pursue the cause of liberationof Palestine.

Naser Sudani told the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) that the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini used to consider the Palestinian issue as the foremost issue of the Muslim world.

“Iran would never forget the occupation of Palestine,” the lawmaker said, adding the fabricated entity of Israel must be annulled through a free election by the original pre-1948 populations of Palestine or through the Palestinian armed resistance.

Sudani said the international day of Quds that falls on July 10 has been designated as an initiative to help an occupied nation to get its freedom.

The lawmaker said it was a religious and revolutionary duty to join the marches on the day.
