Carter's visit has campaign goals

Iranian political expert, Hassan Abedini says the US Defense Minister Ashton Carter’s visit to Israel comes amid close military cooperation between the two sides, adding differences between Washington and Tel Aviv are tactical rather than strategic.
The expert noted that both American political parties need the Jewish support in the run-up to any elections ad for the same reason both seek to appease the Zionists.
Abedini said the current US government seeks to assure Israel that no change would take place in the US Administration’s supportive policy towards Iran despite a P5+1 group’s nuclear deal with Iran.
“Barack Obama considers it a duty to win the Zionist regime’s support for Democrats in the next presidential elections; he has sent Carter to Israel to reach the goal,” the expert said, adding Carter’s visit is more of electoral campaign nature.
