Saudi Arabia actually serves imperial powers

American author and journalist, Eric Walberg says Saudi Arabia has actually served the interests of the world imperial power.

Walberg also told the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) that the Saudi government formed alliance with the US in the 90s in a bid to take the reins of the Muslim community.

“The Muslim world is divided between those who unthinkingly follow the Saudi lead, and those who genuinely struggle to rid the Middle East of western hegemony and alter the dead end Saudi course,” he said.

Asked about the western public opinion concerning the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza in 2014 summer, Waleberg said most westerners are not aware about the issue or treat it with indifference.

“They are indoctrinated by the mass media, which is pro-Zionist and dresses up its pro-Israeli bias with hypocritical finger-wagging at Israel, rather than recognizing the evil that Zionism represents,” he said.

Walberg considered the Palestinians as the winners of the war, saying “Palestinians need only show their determination and courage, continuing to fight the monster, to win, in the sense that Israel cannot wipe them out or make them subservient to Israeli plans.”

Asked about the Israeli recent attacks against Palestinians and the neighboring states, the intellectual suggested that Israel seeks to weaken its neighboring countries and force the Palestinians to leave.

“In general, Israel's schemes in the region are cynical, working to undermine Arab unity, to support US efforts to maintain control of the region,” the American personality said.

Walberg said the world must get united in order to counter against the Apartheid regime of Israel.

“We must continue to make this clear and encourage all those who genuinely want to solve the crisis in the Middle East to unite and work together for a real victory over Israel, just as the Allies did in WWII against Germany,” he said
