Era of Oslo accord is over

Senior Palestinian analyst Naser Leham says the ongoing developments in the occupied Palestine are something different, adding the era of the Oslo Accord has come to an end.

Leham said there was no more Israeli adherence to the accord, adding the more Israel ups aggressions against the Palestinians, the more they take a sense and motivation for combat against the occupiers.

Leham pointed to the Israeli approval of harsher punishments against Palestinian stone throwers, adding the punishments only added to the number and intensity of stone throwing by the Palestinian youths.

The analyst added that the Israeli blaming of the PA authorities over the recent situation would only help the Palestinians to cement their internal bond and unite against Israel.

“Palestinian have no more fear about Israeli reactions. They only wait for an opportunity to respond to Israel with a fateful action,” Leham said.
