Current Intifada appears to be sustainable

Iranian analyst, Mohammad Irani says the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s current campaigns against the Muslim sanctities are motivated by the perception that the time is ripe for materializing the full occupation of Palestine.

Irani told the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) that Netanyahu perceives the Palestinian groups to be in their weakest position ever and that the PA authorities have the least motivation for pursuing the Palestinian nation’s rights.

The analyst also considered reports about Hamas pursuit of a longstanding truce pact with Israel as well as no-action on the part of the Arab states regarding the Israeli aggressions as further motivating Israel to consider the Palestinian as being in a weak position.

Asked whether the current protests in the occupied Palestine may be called an Intifada, the analyst said Intifada is a widespread movement, adding the current protests are growingly widespread and may gradually turn into an intifada.

“The current Palestinian campaign is moving upward, showing that the intifada appears to be sustainable,” he said, adding if not sustainable, the campaign would only leave damages and fatalities on the part of the Palestinians.

The analyst also warned about the PA head’s call for calm, adding however that the current Palestinian generation was witness to the previous rounds of Intifada and understands the situation.
