What happens in Palestine indicate a new resolve
An Iranian expert in Middle East affairs says the current Palestinian uprising signals a new resolve on the part of the Palestinian nation to change the situation on the ground.
Hossein Rouyvaran was speaking to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) on the sidelines of the 21st international press fair in Tehran.
"A new social resolve is in place for passing through the current conditions," Rouyvaran said, adding the Palestinians would no longer accept the political situation that started with the 1993 Oslo accord.
"Palestinian will no longer accept compromise-minded solutions," the expert said, adding the patience of the generation that grew with the Oslo accord is over.
The expert said the current uprising must be continued until reaching favorable fruits.
"In the first Intifada they forced the Zionist regime to admit to a community called Palestinian. IN the second Intifada it forced the regime to withdraw from Gaza. The current Intifada must lead to a withdrawal from the West Bank," he said.
