Artists duty-bound to back Palestinians

A prominent Iranian cinema actor says he is fully ready to play a role in any movies that deal with the Palestinian issue and supports the innocent nation.

Darioush Arjmand was speaking to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) in Tehran.

The prominent actor said Iranian people are anywhere justice resides, adding the least duty of any artist is to voice support for justice.

Arjmand said the Iranian struggle against the western-backed invading army of Saddam Hossein has left a model for the wronged nations of the world, adding the faith-based struggle has even prevented the wounded to concede to their problems contrary to what happens to those who return from wars in other parts of the world.

The actor also talked of a drama he had developed on the Palestinian issue and the occupied city of Quds ('Jerusalem'), adding the drama deals with various milestones in the Palestinian history.

The actor agreed to publish the drama's text through the Qodsna website in a near future.
