Palestinian intifada ahead amid media blackout

Iranian political analyst, Masoud Asadollahi says the ongoing Palestinian intifada was actually an immense political development, overshadowed by the regional chaos.

"The Palestinian nation is unfortunately facing a media blackout so that no Arab or Muslim state bids the least support to the nation," the analyst told the Qods News Agency (Qodsna).

The analyst deplored that such Arab media as al-Jazeera and al-Arabiya pursue as priority agenda the Syrian war or Shia-Sunni feud while they censor the Palestinian issue.

Asadollahi suggested that the Arab media sideline the Palestinian issue so that the Iraqi or Syrian issues are not overshadowed.

The analyst added however that the Palestinian ongoing intifada would turn into a very blessing phenomenon if the Palestinians manage to keep it.

Asked about Tel Aviv-Ankara relations, the analyst said Turkey despite its claims in favor of the Palestinians has upgraded the levels of diplomatic ties with Israel amid the ongoing intifada.

"Erdogan's claims that he considers Israel as enemy are lies," he said.
