Israeli influence, major problem of Muslims

Mohammad Amin, Chairman of the Federation Russian Migrants says Muslims unanimously hold the idea that Palestinians must live freely in a Palestinian country, adding the problems stem from the policies of certain governments and leaders who seek to divide Muslims.

The political figure made the remarks in an interview with the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) on the sidelines of an international conference on Muslim unity.

"The leaders have become controlled by Israel and the US, that's the main problem of the Muslim community," Amin said, adding certain bodies including the UN and the Arab League fail to adopt a specific action.

The Russian personality believed Muslims must stand on their own feet and adopt an independent policy concerning the Palestinian issue.

Amin noted that the Palestinian leaders themselves are influenced by the Saudi Arabia, thus failing to adopt an effective stance.

The Russian figure said it was a shame for the UN to settle for granting an advisory role to Palestine after 60 years of ordeal for the nation.

"The body is influenced by Israel and therefore it is impossible to have an independent Palestinian state through the UN," he said.
